Riverside Theatre Works is a non-profit performing arts center dedicated to enriching the cultural life of Hyde Park and the surrounding communities by producing professional, family-oriented theatrical productions that are entertaining, challenging and educational, as well as offering instruction to children and adults in music, dance, and theatre arts.
We strive to reach a diverse community through affordable ticket rates, scholarships and outreach programs all while nurturing the talents of local artist through training, employment and development opportunities in an organizational environment that honors every person.

Long-Term Vision
The vision of Riverside Theatre Works is to continually develop and implement projects that serve young people, educators and families in creative, relevant, meaningful and accessible ways.
Our goals are to:
To have all aspects of Riverside Theatre Works (programming, staff, actors, teachers, audiences, students, etc.) reflect the cultural, social and economic diversity of Hyde Park.
To offer a broad range of programs that help children become more self-confident and develop better life skills.
To make theatre programs affordable and accessible through financial assistance.
To become proactive in taking the programs and services into the community and also in bringing youth and programs to Riverside Theatre Works.
To establish and sustain contacts with community agencies that serve economically disadvantaged children and families (e.g. human service agencies) in neighborhood.
To use the Theatre to help children develop an appreciation of the arts and to identify children who have artistic and theatrical talents
