Directions and Parking

From the north

Take 128/95 South to 93 North. Just after the beginning of 93, you will take Exit 2B, Rt. 138 towards Milton. Follow Rt. 138 through the first set of lights (Past Dunkin Donuts), then through the 2nd set of lights (past Thacher Montessori School). The 3rd set of lights is at the intersection of Milton St. Turn left at this intersection onto Milton St. Follow this winding road to the first set of lights -- this is Truman Parkway. Turn right onto Truman. Follow Truman for about 3 miles till you get to the intersection of Fairmount Ave. (You will see a Tedeschi's and Blockbuster on your left). Turn left onto Fairmount Ave. The theatre is just a couple blocks down on your left. Look for the marquee!

From the South

Through Boston

There are two major ways to get to Riverside through Boston.

1) Washington St. will take you all the way to Hyde Park. Take Washington St. past the Forest Hills T stop (if Forest Hills is on your left, turn left at the next light onto Ukraine Way, then turn right onto Washington St.). Washington St. will turn into Hyde Park Ave. Follow Hyde Park Ave. to the intersection of River St. (You will see a River Grille and Post Office at this intersection). Turn left onto River St. River St. turns into Fairmount Ave. The theatre is just up the street on your right. Look for the marquee!

2) Take 28 South/Columbus Ave. all the way through Boston. This turns into Blue Hill Ave. You will come to a split in the road where you can go towards Milton, Canton, or Readville/Dedham. Stay to the right and follow the Readville/Dedham signs. The first light you come to is Fairmount Ave. (You'll see a U-Haul on your right). Turn right onto Fairmount Ave. The theatre is just a couple blocks down on your left. Look for the marquee!

Public Transportation

Riverside Theatre Works is accessible by two commuter rail lines: Providence/Stoughton line drops you off at the Hyde Park stop, two blocks below the theatre. Walk up the River St. to the theatre.

The Fairmount line drops you off at the Fairmount stop two blocks above the theatre. Walk down Fairmount Ave. over the bridge to the theatre. The marquee will be on your left. (Does not run on weekends).

Orange Line Forest Hills T Stop -- if you choose to take the orange line, you must get off at the Forest Hills T stop, then take Bus #32 to Cleary Square. This drops you off at the Hyde Park commuter rail stop, two blocks below the theatre. Walk up the River St. to the theatre.

Parking

While parking is always a challenge in Boston, it is no less a chore here at Riverside. There is ample on-street parking available in front of the theatre as well as down side streets. For any production hours, the Hyde Park Savings bank across the street from the theatre is open for patron parking. This is accessible from River St. heading toward Mattapan Square. Wherever you find a parking spot, please know that Riverside is just a couple blocks from your chosen spot.
