Workshop classes are designed for an intensive one day to 6 week training in a specific performing arts field. This is a wonderful way to experience a new art form or receive more specific training at a higher level. Each workshop varies in levels and length of classroom time.

Audition Workshop for Parents and Kids

This infomrtional workshop is offered to help both parents and young actors with th e auditioning process. You will learn about creating a resume, headshots, audition requirements- such as dress, song selection and materials needed. You will leave this workshop with information and materials to help make the audition process a lot easier. HIGHLY ENCOURAGED FOR STUDENTS AUDITIONING FOR CHILDREN'S THEATRE SHOW !!

16 Basic Musical Theatre Dance Steps (ages 9-12 years)

SATURDAYS in January ( 10, 17, 24, 31) 3:00 - 4:00 PM

This dance course gives you the basic skills you need to succeed--literally step-by-step- onstage in a musical show. Includes essential terminology, basic dance steps, keys to remembering combinations, tips on giving a winning audition even when your feet have a mind of their own, and lots of practice and encouragement. No previous dance experience required.

** This class is required of All Musical Theatre II Students

February Dance Day (all ages)

SATURDAY, February 7, 2009 10:00 - 2:00 PM
FEE: $15 plus pizza money ($RTW students $8 plus pizza money)

A day filled with dances from around the world. Classical Indian, Irish Step, Flamenco, Salsa, Ballet, and Hip Hop to name a few. Join us for a day and experience the power of dance. This is open to youth and adults. Come dance with your family !! A great success in 2008 - over 60 kids participated.
