Mixed Emotions

In addition to offering classes and a mainstage theatrical season, Riverside also offers on the road entertainment! Mixed Emotions, RTW's teen cabaret troupe, is directed by founder Marietta Phinney and performs all over the Boston area. They are the featured entertainment for events such as weddings, company dinners, Christmas parties, back-to-school nights, nursing homes, and more! They have been invited for the past two years to perform at the Summer Boston Waterfront alongside the Boston Pops and Boston Lyric Opera. Mixed Emotions was featured last year at the Boston Common Tree Lighting service and this year was invited to perform in Jamaica!

Mixed Emotions' repertoire includes a broad range of musical genres and standard classics so they can tailor their performance to your particular needs. From Broadway favorites, jazz, Swing, Pop to 50s and 60s, rock and even a little bit of Country, Mixed Emotions is sure to offer you the type of musical entertainment you need for your event!

Mixed Emotions travels with a complete digital sound system and all musical numbers are fully staged and choreographed using wireless microphones. This system allows the performers to interact with the audience and create a truly memorable experience.
